Borough of Portland Monthly Council Meeting, August 3, 2020 at 7:00pm-
The Borough of Portland is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
The Council continues to host meeting via Zoom as the Council Chamber is not large enough to allow for proper Social Distancing.
The public is encouraged to log on for the meeting and comment when appropriate.
A few notes on how meetings are run so that we can keep things running smoothly:
1) EVERYONE that joins the meeting is automatically muted so that as you join you do not disturb the meeting if it is already in progress. To speak you will need to take your device off mute and we ask you to re-mute your device when done speaking (or it will be done for you by the mtg admin). This will help us to keep unnecessary noise down during the meeting.
2) When addressing the Council during the comment period we ask that you please state you first and last name as well as your street address.
3) The Council expects a high public attendance tomorrow night due to the recent issues with the Northampton County Portland Water Front Park. We will make sure that everyone who wishes to comment is able to, please be patient during the comment/discussion period we will make sure that everyone has opportunity to comment.
4) If Council needs to go into Executive Session. ALL meeting attendees will be asked to log out during that time (or the mtg admin will log you out). You may then re-click the Zoom meeting link, wait in the “waiting room” to be re-entered back into the meeting by the mtg admin when Council resumes after Executive Session. This has been working very nicely for our meetings.
